Sharing the Gospel with all ages
Living Hope Kids is dedicated to creating a learning environment of fertile ground for the gospel to be heard and understood by children of all ages.
INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP
Taking our cue from Jesus, who welcomed children, we value every child in our church as an image-bearer of God. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go”, and in Deuteronomy 4, God gives instructions to the Israelite community to teach their children God's ways.
As part of God’s holy community, the Church, we believe that our investment into each child’s development is a high calling. We recognize that learning alongside peers is an opportunity for growth, and we believe that discipleship by age group has a valuable place in the life of the Church.
DEDICATED TEACHERS
We guarantee that all involved in our Kids Ministry are:
CONTAGIOUS JOY
Serving the Lord in any capacity should always be done joyfully (Philippians 4). We believe serving with delight is easily accomplished when working with children. Their eager and energetic personalities, coupled with a willingness to engage and learn, make spending time with them a true privilege for our volunteers. Living Hope Kids is the most joyful, laughter-filled place in our church!
PARENT PARTNERSHIP
Every parent is under a special calling by God to raise their children in a way that honors Him (Deuteronomy 4, Titus 2). We, as God’s community, come alongside parents to encourage, equip, help, train, admonish, pray for, support, and honor this calling (Ephesians 4). We serve as partners as they seek to honor Him with their family; we are not a replacement for that primary calling on the parent. We include encouraging resources and opportunities for growth both within and outside of our church.
GENUINE LOVE
As image bearers of a Holy God, each of us are inherently valuable. Our personalities, traits, backgrounds, and future are precious in God’s sight, and we want to demonstrate the love that we ourselves have received from God (1 John 3:18) to each child in our care. Our words and actions should all be proclaiming, “You are loved! You are seen! You are valuable!” every time we serve our children.
Although working with children can sometimes be challenging, we trust God to equip us with patience, peace, joy, self-control, gentleness, kindness, love, and faithfulness each Sunday morning (Galatians 5:23).
