  • Ben Dowdy | Elder
    Lead Pastor of Living Hope Bible Church

    Ben has served as Lead Pastor at Living Hope Bible Church since it's launch on September 18, 2022. He spent 34 years in El Paso in far West Texas. After completing his degree in Religious Education from Prairie Bible Institute, he worked as a missionary specializing in children’s evangelism and discipleship for 26 years, served as pastor-teacher at Grace Bible Fellowship for 19 years, and completed a one-year church planting residency at Redemption Bible Church. Ben is married to his favorite person, Marcia, and together they have six children and twelve grandchildren. Besides spending time with their grown kids and young grandkids, Ben and Marcia enjoy working out and having people over in their home. They are excited to explore the many delights of Austin and the Hill Country in the coming years.

  • Julian Britton | Elder
    Pastor of Living Hope Bible Church

    Julian came to the US at an early age and spent over 36 years in the El Paso area. There he met his beautiful wife, Betz, and together they raised their two children while faithfully serving in various ministries at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Canutillo. In 2022, God used an invitation from Pastor Ben to help plant Living Hope Bible Church, leading them to make the move from El Paso to Buda. Since the church's launch on September 18, 2022, Julian has served as Hospitality Team Lead, and, on August 23, 2026, he was installed as an Elder. Julian and Betz have been married for over 30 years. They love the outdoors and enjoy counseling couples preparing for marriage. They're blessed with two married children and a precious granddaughter. In his spare time, Julian enjoys woodworking and outdoor activities.

  • Andrew | Worship Director

    Andrew is a Houston native with a heart for worship and ministry. As a former Navy Corpsman, he developed a strong sense of service and dedication that he now brings to leading the Worship Team at Living Hope. With a background in Worship Ministry, Andrew is passionate about creating worship experiences that draw people closer to God, while also mentoring and encouraging Team members in their spiritual growth. He is committed to fostering community and connection through worship. Outside of ministry, Andrew enjoys running, spending time with his family and dogs, and playing games with friends. He is recently married to the love of his life, Sierra.

  • Amy | Administrative Assistant

    Amy grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, has a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance, and sings opera professionally. She and her husband, Duncan, have been married for thirteen years. They moved to Austin after living in Michigan, then California. While in California, she worked as a Secretary at Cornerstone Fellowship Bible Church, learned how to utilize her administrative gifts in the church, and loved the amazing opportunity it provided to serve people. As a Member of Living Hope, she serves on the Promotions, Productions, and Worship Teams.
